SUP Yoga

(Stand Up Paddle Board)

Paddle Board Yoga is the art of performing yoga while on a Stand-Up Paddle board (SUP) usually while the board is in calm water, such as a lake. The sport combines hatha yoga and vinyasa yoga asanas, or poses, with paddle boarding or surfing. This is a fun way to experience yoga! If you are new to yoga and/or stand up paddle boarding that is ok! Meet Yogi Fit owner, Cathy McKinney at North Texas Kayak, next to Stumpy’s on Lake Granbury for a beginner friendly SUP Yoga session. You can bring your own board or book use one of ours! Either way we ask that you sign up online to reserve your spot in the class.

Duration: This event lasts 1 hour with 15-20 minutes of paddling and around 40 minutes of yoga instruction.

Difficulty: Gentle, ages 10 and up only, all skill levels, must be able to swim

Location: North Texas Kayak on Lake Granbury 2323 S Morgan St, Granbury, TX 76048 (Next door to Stumpy’s)

What to Bring: water, paddle board (if you plan to bring your own)

What to Wear: Swimsuit, Shorts and tank or both, sunscreen
